Meet Layla, your new co-pilot in snacks, strolls, and silliness!

Layla is the kind of dog who makes everything feel a little more fun. Whether she’s bouncing around the yard with a canine friend, trotting beside you on a walk or showing off her zoomies with a toy in her mouth, she brings enthusiasm to everything she does. As a young Husky-mix, she has a big personality and the athleticism to back it up!

Layla is also a treat connoisseur. Training is a piece of cake when a tasty reward is at stake! She is highly food-motivated, knows cues like “let’s go” and “come here,” and she is excited to bond over learning more! She’s comfortable with a crate or a car ride, and if snacks are involved, even better.

Layla has made lots of progress since arriving at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center. She was very fearful at first, but with the right support (and yes, snacks), her playful, affectionate side started to shine. She is still working on a fear of new people and situations, so she will need a little time to warm up. But once she’s comfortable, she’ll lean in for back scratches and show you her signature grin. A steady routine, a calm environment and a dog friend who enjoys rowdy play will help her keep growing in all the best ways. She would also thrive as the only dog in the house — that just means more attention for her!
