Sweet Panda is proof that with a little love and patience, even the most timid hearts can learn to trust again. At just one year old, this beautiful pit bull girl has already overcome a lot. She came to us from a tough past, and at first, the world was a pretty scary place for her. New people and unfamiliar environments made her nervous, and while she wanted to trust, she just didn’t quite know how.

But once Panda realized she was safe, something amazing happened. She zoomed right out of her shell (yes, she’s got her zoomies down to an art form!) and began showing us the goofy, affectionate and loving pup she truly is. Now, she greets her favorite humans with wiggles and wags, she lives for belly rubs and enjoys romping around the play yard. Watching her discover joy and playfulness has been a truly heartwarming journey.

Panda also enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine companion in her new home. That said, she can be a little overwhelmed by rough or high-energy play, so she’d do best with a gentler dog who can help her build confidence and go at her pace. She thrives around dogs who are kind, calm and understanding — just like she is.

As a young dog, Panda is still learning the basics like leash manners and polite greeting, but she’s a smart cookie who responds well to positive reinforcement and treats. She’s eager to please and will blossom even more with consistent, gentle training in a loving home.
