Join us on Saturday, June 28, for a FREE adoption event at the ASPCA Cruelty Recovery Center in Columbus, Ohio! We have SO MANY dogs who have been waiting to find the loving homes they deserve, so all adoption fees will be waived during this event.

The event will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on June 28, 2025, and will be located at 5677 Alshire Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43232 — with free parking onsite.
 

What to Expect

You’ll have the opportunity to meet loads of CRC dogs, interact with them and see who best fits your home and lifestyle. Our on-site adoption counselors will be there to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

If you fall in love with a dog, you can complete the adoption paperwork on the spot and take your new best friend home the same day. We’ll provide a collar and leash for each dog to go home with. All you need is a valid photo ID.

We recommend all families with children bring any kids who live in the household to help ensure a great fit with your future dog. Our adoption counselors will be available to help facilitate safe, positive introductions between your family and our adoptable dogs in a friendly, family-focused environment.

For everyone's safety and comfort, we ask that you do not bring personal pets as it can be crowded and overwhelming for many pets. The good news is that all of our adoptable dogs have been evaluated for compatibility with other dogs, and our experienced adoption counselors will be there to help you find a great match based on your dog’s play style and personality. We’ll work with you to make sure it’s a good fit and provide you with tips on how to introduce the dogs at home.

He’s affectionate, playful and the kind of dog who will happily climb into your lap for cuddles — even if he’s a little big for it! Aster also met a group of young children recently and did incredibly well, showering them with gentle face kisses and soaking up all of their attention.

Azalea is a total sweetheart who’s been waiting way too long for a family of her own. She has spent most of her young life in a shelter, but you’d never know it — she’s all love, wiggles and good vibes! This girl is super affectionate and loves being right in the mix. Whether she’s with humans or other dogs, she’s always ready to have fun!

Barnaby

Barnaby is a lovable goofball! This sweet, social pup is all about the wiggles, belly rubs and making new friends — both the two- and four-legged kind! Barnaby is a true lover of people who adores spending time with his human friends. He will happily flop onto his back for belly rubs and affection! He is also a pro in doggy playgroup and has made dog friends of all shapes and sizes and gets along well with everyone.
